Green Note show reviewed!
The show I played with Don Gallardo at London's Green Note on 3rd May has been reviewed by Nashville Over Here.
"It was a performance worthy of a headline slot, and impassioned vocals hit home on each song. Standout tracks were taken from his 2014 debut solo You Get So Alone At Times That It Just Makes Sense and included “One Of Us” and “Lord Knows I’m A Bad Man” but it was an outstanding tribute to a rugby playing friend ["A Song For Jack Brown"]*, that clearly moved his audience."
You can read the whole thing (including a lovely review for Don's performance) here.
As a side note, I've really enjoyed playing these gigs with Don. There's just one more to go with me on the bill at The Beehive in Swindon this Sunday (8th May), but Don has still got a load of shows left. Check his website to see if he's playing near you!
Don, Travis, Tom and Allan (and Simon and Rebecca!): It's been lovely playing with you! Thank you for having me. *Jack Brown was a friend of a friend. I was very moved by his story, and how much people loved him. The messages I read broke my heart. There's a news article touching on it here.
